24 year old Teacher impregnated by her 13 year old student

A 24-year-old teacher, Alexandria Vera, has been accused of having sex with a 13 year old, eighth grade student.
Vera claims that the pair are in love and that the boys’ parents knew about their relationship and even approved of it. She added that his parents allowed him to sleep over at her apartment on numerous occasions. And that she would drop him off at the bus stop for school the morning afterwards.

Vera said the teen was a student in her English 8th grade class and that the romance started over social media after they met in her summer class.

The middle school teacher explains that the then-13-year-old first contacted her via Instagram, and their relationship grew from there and people seemed to notice. She said he missed a class one day so she sent him a message asking him why he missed class and that was when he asked for her number.
She said one time she went to his house for school and he invited her in and introduced her to his parents as his girlfriend and his parents accepted her.
She said the first time they had sex was sometime in September of last year when she dropped him of at home and his parents were not at home.

She also said a lot of people at school noticed that they were both in a relationship.

One student told ABC 13:
“He like grabbed her butt, and everybody saw it. And then they were talking about it.”
Vera said she got pregnant in January and told investigators that the teen's family was “excited” and “very supportive” when they found out. However, court documents reveal that she became nervous after Child Protective Services visited her school and interviewed the couple about their relationship so she eventually aborted her unborn baby.

Aldine ISD’s Stovall Middle School, located near Houston, Texas, has since released the following statement:
Aldine ISD has been made aware that charges have been filed against a former Stovall Middle School teacher involved in inappropriate behavior with a male student. When the allegation was made in April, the teacher was immediately removed from the school and placed on administrative leave. Aldine ISD Police investigated the incident and turned their findings over to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. The safety and security of Aldine ISD’s students and staff remains a priority of the school district.
Vera is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child. She turned herself in on Wednesday to officers at Montgomery County Jail in Conroe, Texas, after police issued a warrant for her arrest.

Vera's bond was set at $100,000. She has met the bail condition and has been released.

Wiz Khalifa Files Lawsuit Against Former Manager & Record Label

Things certainly don’t last always. According to Complex, Wiz Khalifa is taking his longtime label Rostrum Records to court in hopes to end a leaching record deal.
The ‘Black and Yellow’ rapper filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against the label and its founder, Benjy Grinberg, who served as Wiz’s manager until 2014.
In the suit, Wiz’s legal team claims that Grinberg and Rostrum Records “induced” the rapper into agreeing to a “360 agreement” that entailed they would get a percentage of virtually everything related to the rapper’s brand, including sales and merchandise.
Wiz’s legal representation, Alex Weingarten, commented on Grinberg’s lucrative deal with the rapper.
“An artist’s most trusted advisor is his or her personal manager,” said Weingarten. “Generally, nothing good comes out when the manager decides to go into business against his artist. Unfortunately, that is the case here.”
In court, Wiz  desires to end his former deal under the California Labor Code’s seven-year rule. He’s  also allegedly seeking compensatory damages in excess of $1 millions dollars plus punitive damages and attorney fees.
Grinberg denounced Wiz’s claims and expressed disappointment with his former client.
“[I’m] very disappointed and surprised by [the] news,” he said. “To witness an artist turn on you after supporting them for a number of years is very disheartening. This is an egregious lawsuit filled with inaccuracies, yet unfortunately people sometimes resort to these practices as a way of conducting business.”

Nigerian artistes without a hit song!!!! Where are they????

Lami Philips
Lami is more popular on social media than on stage. She has been lucky to be invited to one or two not- so- popular gigs but even her performance at such gigs, isn’t earthshaking but almost boring.
The singer made her debut into the Nigerian music scene with the release of her debut album, Intuition, in November, 2009.
Some may excuse her since her songs are mostly love songs and not dancehall; however, she has not been able to repeat what she did with her ‘Know’song, which kind of topped charts for a while. Some people feel that the song was acceptable because of MI’s input (she featured him in the song).
She may have felt featuring another known person in another song would earn her some kudos in her career but then, the Kotobata, which featured Olamide, made little or no impact in her career.
Presh
Presh may be wondering which god he offended; since he and his former Best Friend Forever (BFF), KC broke up, Presh’s career has almost gone into oblivion.
As a group, their (KCPresh) career wasn’t even fantastic as they didn’t have a great hit that could earn them fantastic points even after they had won at the Nigerian Breweries sponsored music reality show, Star Quest.  However, they had performed on stage for so many years (all thanks to Nigerian Breweries sponsored concerts and gigs) with other A list international and Nigerian musicians.
Interestingly, they broke up and KC started dishing out club bangers back to back while Presh is…just Presh.
When it looked as if his career was at a zero level, Okwudili Umenyiora’s Eric Manny Records came to the rescue and even went as far as ‘packaging’ Presh with exotic cars and other incentives.
Presh tried… he actually tried to make a comeback. His song, Say Dem, featuring Davido, could have earned him a place but oops, Presh has yet to deliver songs his fans would die to listen to.
2shotz
Once upon a time, 2shotz was the man of the moment. That time is quickly fading in the minds of many; so many people may not even recall what songs shot him to the limelight.
His song, ‘Superman,’ which was released in 2012, would have put him back on track because it gained a lot of public acceptance but that did not seem to be enough as he still wasn’t able to top charts
Apart from allegedly battering his girlfriend Beverly Osu and later on, his wife, and the stories making headlines, nothing more has been heard from the talented guy who used to make so many fans dance with the great songs he put out back then.
K Switch
Well, K Switch is popular; after all, he is D’banj’s biological brother. But that may be the only gene they share because musically, they are certainly world apart!
He was a member of the defunct Mo’hit group but even back then, K Switch was just there, he wasn’t so spectacular.
His peculiar style of music, which tilts towards reggae, could have got him a breakthrough but the likes of Patoranking (who sing similar genre) came on the scene and practically chased him out of the league with their hit songs.
But K Switch could be pardoned a bit, his ‘Obimo’, featuring D’banj may not have topped so many charts but it is a good song. ‘His’, For Example featuring Olamide and Wizkid and Jaburata could not be said to have done great.
Styl-Plus
Who remembers Styl-Plus again? This group of boys held sway so many years ago and their song, Olufunmi, was a big hit. Sadly, that was   many, many years ago.
Back then, the lads stormed all the happening gigs, jumping from one point of the stage to another and so many fans, especially the females, went wild just at the sight of them. They were even dubbed Nigeria’s Westlife.
In 2006 when they launched their album, it was alleged that the star-studded event in Abuja and Lagos cost over N10 million making it one of the most expensive album launch in Nigerian history.
They may have felt they could do better than they did in their first album as they released their sophomore album, ‘Back and better’.  But that effort wasn’t so good and that was how the boys gradually faded.
Now, Styl Plus might need to reintroduce themselves to a lot of people if they should make a comeback as so many talents have come and overtaken them in the music business.
 Sasha P
Thank God Sasha P got another calling. Her musical career became practically dead and so many people felt that in order to remain relevant, the one-time rap queen switched to clothing and shoe business.
But there was a time the pretty babe was a rap queen. Yes, Sasha ruled, at least the female musicians’ scene. But it looked as if the babe couldn’t stand the competition when other female singers came on the stage.
By the way, Sasha broke into the Nigerian entertainment scene with the defunct hip-hop group, Trybesmen in 1994 when the first members, Eldee, Kaboom and Freestyle, met in Lagos. The group later broke up and everyone went their separate ways.
In 2002, she sang, ‘Oya’ and ‘Work’ it but she did not gain prominence till she released ‘Emi le gan’, which was widely accepted, ditto for her ‘Adara’, which she released in 2008.
In 2012, she sang, ‘Bad Girl P’ and the babe decided to go back and face what may likely be a better career, her clothing business.

Eye-witnesses call Amber Heard a liar, says she was the aggressor

But why would a woman lie that she was assaulted if she wasn't? Below is how TMZ is reporting it..
"Amber Heard screamed to Johnny Depp in the middle of their argument last week, "Stop hitting me!!!" Problem is ... when she screamed Johnny was more than 6 yards away -- so claim 2 witnesses. Sources connected to the case tell TMZ, 2 security guards -- Jerry Judge and Sean Bett -- were standing in the entryway inside Johnny and Amber's apartment unit, giving them space during the argument, when out of nowhere they heard Amber scream.
The guards say "within a second" they bolted into the living area and saw Johnny in the kitchen and Amber on the couch in the living room -- it's an open floor plan. Both guards say Johnny was at least 20 feet away from her.

We're told, according to Johnny, both he and Amber knew the guards were in the entryway and the scream was a badly executed attempted setup.

The guards -- both of whom are expected to testify next month during the restraining order trial -- also say throughout Johnny and Amber's 15-month marriage, she was the one who flew into rages ... screaming at him, throwing bottles, and charging him. They claim they frequently had to pull her off Johnny.

Amber claims her alleged injuries were caused when Johnny hurled an iPhone at her. The 2 guards support what the responding cops say ... she had no visible injuries. Amber claims there was broken glass on the floor and even submitted photos in her legal docs, but the guards insist there was no broken glass, and the cops say nothing was amiss.

How to maintain a peaceful marriage

Keeping the Peace at Any Price?

Maybe your marriage is riddled with conflict today, or perhaps you never fight. Whatever your past or current experiences, how do you perceive conflict? Are these images positive or negative? Conflict has the potential for beauty, but at the same time, there is also a "beast" lurking in it if we mishandle our conflicts.
In an unhealthy sense, if we avoid conflict, pretend it doesn't exist, gossip to others about it, get angry, or intimidate others into doing what we want, the greater the problem will become, and the greater the relational damage will be. Couples who do not work out their differences and manage their conflict issues are at risk for divorce.
The apostle Paul recognized this when he wrote, "If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other" (Galatians 5:15).
Many couples hate to confront disagreements and hurts because they're afraid of rocking the boat, so they choose to keep the peace at any price and sweep their issues under the rug. However, this strategy usually does not resolve the problem, because suppressed conflict is always buried alive, and it often festers until it becomes a much bigger problem. In the end, buried issues end up exploding like a massive volcano, leaving our spouse and family members in its wake of destruction.
In Matthew 5:23–24 we are encouraged to deal with relationship problems so that our hearts will be right when we worship the Lord. "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift."
The difficulty with mishandled conflict is that it creates an unsafe environment. Spouses feel like they are walking on a thin layer of volcanic crust, while underneath rages a river of molten lava ready to consume those trapped nearby. And when people feel unsafe, their heart closes and they disconnect. This is why, when asked about divorce, Jesus said, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard" (Matthew 19:8). A hard heart is the kiss of death to a marriage, and that is exactly what prolonged, unhealthy conflict creates: a hardened heart!
Indeed, not confronting and managing conflict often causes long-term resentment, which eventually destroys feelings of love in a marriage. The bottom line is that your marriage may not last if you do not work through issues.
Let's face it, few people are genuinely excited about conflict. And yet it's essential that we recognize conflict for what it is: an unavoidable and potentially beneficial part of being in a relationship with another human being.
Conflict is inevitable. Any person involved in a sustained relationship is bound to experience conflict with that other person eventually. It's a part of getting to know and adjusting to a person, his or her habits, values, and ways of functioning. Two people will never have the same expectations, thoughts, opinions or needs.
Absence of conflict suggests the presence of deadened emotions or a hardened heart, or that one spouse is being suppressed or giving in to his or her mate. This might be acceptable over the short term, but over the long term, it's very dangerous to the marriage. Anger is likely to build to the point where the conflict, when it surfaces, will be more intense than it needed to be.

Mile 12 crisis: Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso secures the release of 72 northerners, gives them money.

Former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso paid bail out money to the tune of N65,000 to secure the release of 72 northerners detained by police following the Mile 12 market crisis, during his last visit to Lagos about two weeks ago.
On Monday, he visited the released detainees and gave each and everyone of them a token sum of money as an empowerment to start a new life in a ceremony attended by high ranking officers of the Nigerian Police Force, the Hausa Traditional Rulers in Lagos, Leaders of the Mile 12 markets and their members along with the families of the released detainees.

He has also made arrangement for their transportation from Lagos back to their various states across the 19 northern States.
10 lives were lost, properties razed and 105 suspects arrested after an inter-ethnic clash between Hausas and Yorubas in the Mile 12, Ketu area of Lagos, earlier this year. The conflict reportedly started after an Okada rider injured a woman and refused to take her to the hospital

Teenager dies while undergoing illegal female circumcision in Egypt

A 17-year-old Egyptian teenage girl, Mayar Mohammad, died due to severe bleeding and a drop in blood circulation after she was subjected to an illegal female genital mutilation (FGM) surgery in a private hospital in Suez, Egypt. According to local media reports, the girl’s mother is a nurse, while their late father was a surgeon. So you'd expect the mother to know not to let her daughter go through such backward torture, all in the name of tradition.
FGM has been banned in Egypt since 2007, but the brutal practice is still being practiced illegally in the country and especially in rural areas. In February, the United Nations Children Fund (Unicef) said in its annual report on FGM that Egypt witnessed a significant decline of FGM prevalence but still 48% of girls underwent FGM in 2014 compared with 78% in 2008.

The death of Mayar was the first reported in three years and authorities immediately ordered the closure of the private hospital. Egypt’s governmental National Council for Women condemned the unlawful surgery and said in a statement that “performers of such criminal operations must face strict penalties.”
Abdul Abdelaty, a human rights lawyer during an interview with the Middle East Eye website said that even though the operation is illegal, it is really cheap. “Doctors ask between $1 and $15 to do it (FGM) because there is a high demand and a constant flow of cash. The economic aspect – it is really important, and it can be stopped only by enforcing the law,” the lawyer said.

According to Gulf News website, friends of the 17-year-old victim blamed her mother for subjecting her own daughter to FGM.
The teenager's classmate, Rawan Al Jamal said in a Facebook post:
“Mayar died due to ignorance and backwardness of her mother, who regarded her daughter as guilty only because she was created a female,”

Nigerian man claims he was prosecuted and almost killed for converting to Christianity in Northern Nigeria

Brent Hail, a Jacksonville resident and Tyler firefighter recently traveled to Nigeria for the first time to visit with missionaries who are supported by Fellowship Bible Church in Jacksonville. He and the missionaries traveled to northern Nigeria to pick up Musa who was allegedly prosecuted and almost killed after converting to Christianity. Read his story below:
"The day started pretty early because we had a long way to go. We were going to pick up a man in a town in northern Nigeria. The story had gotten back to us of an amazing way God had delivered him at his village from being killed for his faith. As the van left with me and five other travelers, I wanted to see God in an amazing way. I wasn’t disappointed.
This story is about a man named Musa, who, this past January, almost lost his life for converting to Christianity. As we headed northeast in northern Nigeria, I could tell that we were heading into areas that were almost completely Muslim. We were traveling to the village where it happened. I had heard about Musa and his incredible story through one of the missionaries our church supports.
Four hours later we finally pull up to the spot where it all happened. Musa walked us to the mud house where it all took place. He began by telling us that two years ago he became a Christian as a result of one of the outreaches to his village.
Most of the village was either pagan or Muslim, so when he converted he was seen as an outsider of sorts. Let me say quickly that Islam is not the enemy here. There is a much bigger enemy who uses Islamic radicals to carry out horrible things against people.
After his conversion, Musa told people in his village that he was a Christian and that he wanted them to know that Jesus truly cared and loved them. The leaders of the village didn’t like that, so they were going to make it difficult for him.
They took his wife and married her to another man in the same village. They then approached him with a large sum of money wanting to denounce his faith and come back to Islam, but Musa refused. They then brought him several women for the same purpose, but he still refused.
One night, two people from his village came to his mud hut at midnight, kicked in his door and told him that this was going to be his last night on earth. One of them had a gun. As the man fired, Musa reached around to feel the exit hole from the bullet, but it wasn’t there. The man was standing approximately five feet away, so surely he couldn’t have missed.
As Musa was crying out to Jesus to save him, the man then swung a machete. Musa put up his left arm in defense, and the machete cut off his left hand. The man swung again, this time cutting off his right thumb. Musa said he suddenly felt a surge of power come over him, and he was able to punch the guy with the arm, which was missing his hand, knocking him down.
Musa ran to his neighbor’s house where the wife answered the door, and fainted after seeing what had happened to him. The husband then took him to the Christian church that was about a half mile away to seek help from the pastor. They carried him to the hospital, which was an hour and a half away, where they finally were able to care for his wounds. From the time his hand was cut off, to the time he was sewed up, sixteen hours had transpired.
At times, doubt creeps in to invade my faith. I don’t want it there, but it still manages to make its way in. I believe God understands this, and allows amazing stories like Musa’s to cross our paths to let us know that there is a God who truly loves and cares for us. It strengthens my faith all the more from seeing the way that God delivered Musa.
I was able to see the amazing power of God work through Musa, because he told us that he loves and forgives the men. He also has had four men from the village come to him secretly, telling him that they had placed their faith and trust in Christ because of his witness. It has opened my eyes to see that God cares as much for the Muslims as he does for me. I thank God for allowing me to see this personally and to meet Musa. We can all learn a lot from his story."

Gosh!!!Lady Allegedly Turned Into A Bird And Landed In A Gutter In Lagos

Truly, there are witches who fly in the air as birds. Reading this story below proves that this woman is truly a witch as no human would have fallen into a Gutter sealed with a small opening left. Even the human head can't enter.

At about 9am today (Monday), this lady presented above, who allegedly confessed to being a witch, was saved from a canal she was trapped in around Abalti Barracks, Ojuelegba in Surulere, Lagos.
According to reports, a passerby had noticed someone stretching out her hand from a very small hole in a 6ft deep gutter just in front of the Army Barracks and calling out for help. The passerby quickly ran into the Army barracks to get help.
Within minutes, a crowd gathered with people saying all sort of things about the lady inside the gutter and how she got trapped in it. Some said she’s a witch, that she went for her meeting transformed as a bird. Only to end up in the covered gutter after she fell uncontrollably as a bird from the sky.
That it was inside the drainage she now transformed back into her human form. Some others said she was on her way from Oshogbo and got sucked in the gutter, and so on.
When the woman was asked questions like ‘What are you doing inside the gutter?’ she replied, weeping ”Please I need water, help me”.
A senior officer of the Nigerian Army reportedly asked the soldiers to get her out, a welder around the environment was called in and she was finally brought out by a good Samaritan who entered the gutter to help her out.
She was brought out Unclad, covered up and then questioned.
