Before now, the New York Knicks signed in several popular coaches around the league such as, David Blatt and Frank Vogel, the Knicks have finally landed the coach to try and turn lemons into lemonade. According to B/R, the Knicks have agreed on the hire of former Phoenix Suns coach, Jeff Hornacek.
Earlier this week, Hornacek and Knicks President, Phil Jackson, met in connection to interview Hornacek as the next head coach according to ESPN. The meeting between the two must have went in the right direction as Hornacek beat out three top contenders for one of the toughest coaching jobs in professional basketball.
Hornacek, 53, has only held one head coaching position with the Phoenix Suns. He carried the team to a record of 101-112 from 2013-2016.
