Yesterday night, 26th June, a Dangote truck crashed into 5 vehicles and a motorcycle at Odukpani Junction. The incident took place at about 7:46pm along Calabar - Ogoja express leaving 24 persons injured. Victims are currently receiving treatment at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital .
The truck with registration number ICT-11F-050 and with no plate number was fully loaded with cement and his destination could not be verified.
The Dangote truck rammed into a Toyota Sienna with plate number Abuja HZ719ABC, Volkswagen Golf with plate number Akwa-Ibom AE900AT, Suzuki with plate number Cross River DUK17AXA, Mercedes Benz 190E with plate number Abuja AS774RSH, a Toyota Highlander with plate number DUK273AA and a motorcycle.
The first victim is the Toyota Highlander that was heading for Calabar which after been bumped into from behind by the heavily loaded truck, the truck then hit the Toyota Sienna which then hit the Volkswagen golf in succession.
