The Akarigbo of Remoland has kicked the bucket, Sagamu in anxiety

The Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Adeniyi Sonariwo was yesterday rumoured to have kicked the bucket in the United Kingdom where we went for medical treatment. He was said to have had a brief illness and accompanied by his wife, Olori for treatment abroad.
Oba Sonariwo, Akarigbo of Remoland
The 90-year-old accountant monarch, who ascended the throne on July 14, 1990, reportedly joined his ancestors Saturday evening in United Kingdom. Oba Sonariwo born on July 28, 1936, became the Akarigbo in the month of July and was rumoured to have joined his ancestors in the presence of his Olori, Abosede.
It was further gathered that the Senator Ibikunle Amosun-led government in the state has been informed of the monarch’s death. When contacted, one of the monarchs in Sagamu who pleaded anonymity said the issue would be made public today (Monday) afternoon.
It was learnt that the Oba’s demise might be confirmed later after proper traditional rites must have been carried out. Sonariwo, who was born in Ita Eleye in Lagos State in 1936, attended St. John School, Aroloya, Lagos from 1941 to 1949 before he proceeded to Methodist Boys High School from 1950 till 1955.

Oba Sonariwo became an orphan at six and had dreamt of working with the Central Bank of Nigeria to become the Governor “so that I would sign my name on the naira notes,” later travelled abroad for further studies and series of training in tax and accounting profession, and worked with the Inland Revenue Service.
Rest in peace Kabiyesi......
