On Sunday this week, armed robbers attacked a lady along robbery-prone Soko Estate Road, Effort, Uvwie local government area, Delta State. The hoodlums made away with her car and her baby which was left in the car. The road, which is a link between Jakpa road and Airport road Effurun, live in daily fear of armed gangs, who attack and rob victims at random with impunity at several bad spots on the road.
Mrs Juliet, an eyewitness said the robbers in the Sunday incident were swift in dispossessing the unidentified victim of her vehicle and zooming off with her baby in a matter of seconds. The residents of Soko Estate Road and adjoining streets are worried and therefore, implored Delta State government to intensify security in the area and urgently address the poor state of the road to ensure security of lives and properties in the area.
